Musicians and the audience consolidate to form a live music experience like no other creating a unique and energetic synergy. ️ About Yissy García Yissy García (Havana, 1987) is one of the most original drummers to emerge from Cuba. She grew up surrounded by music—her father played with Irakere—so from a very young age she was immersed in drums. She studied percussion at major schools in Havana and, at an early age, was already performing on large stages. After being part of several Cuban projects and bands, she formed her own group, Bandancha, where she blends jazz, Cuban music, funk, and electronic elements with a very distinctive style. With the band, she released the album Última noticia and earned recognition both in and outside of Cuba. Today, she lives in Miami, continues performing and composing, and leads Bandancha, and is considered one of the most powerful female figures in drumming and Cuban fusion. ️Sobre Yissy García Yissy García (La Habana, 1987) es una de las bateristas más originales que ha salido de Cuba. Creció rodeada de música —su padre tocaba con Irakere— así que desde niña estuvo metida entre tambores. Estudió percusión en escuelas importantes de La Habana y muy joven ya estaba tocando en escenarios grandes. Después de pasar por proyectos y bandas cubanas, creó su grupo Bandancha, donde mezcla jazz, música cubana, funk y electrónica con un estilo muy propio. Con ellos lanzó el disco Última noticia y se ganó un nombre dentro y fuera de Cuba. Hoy vive en Miami, sigue tocando, componiendo y liderando Bandancha, y es considerada una de las figuras femeninas más potentes de la batería y la fusión cubana.
