Pepe Sánchez Trova Festival inaugural

The first Festival de la Trova "Pepe Sánchez" was held in March 1962 in Santiago de Cuba. Named after Jos\u00e9 "Pepe" S\u00e1nchez (the father of bolero), this annual festival became one of Cuba's longest-running music events. It honors traditional trova and son music with performances by troubadours and singer-songwriters from across the island.
