First Cuban rumba recording

In 1947, percussionists Carlos Vidal and Chano Pozo made the first commercial studio recordings of Cuban rumba (in New York), effectively introducing rumba to the recording industry. Cuban studios in Havana produced their first rumba recordings in 1948.
